Thailand Wood Branches
Description
Description
Thailand Branches are natural hardwood branches sourced from Southeast Asia, widely used in aquascaping for their thin, intricate, tree‑like forms. They’re popular for creating dramatic layouts, especially in nano tanks and nature-style scapes.
Natural, Branchy Shape
- Thin, detailed, “root‑like” and “tree‑like” branching.
- Excellent for iwagumi + wood, nature style, bonsai-style, and shrimp tanks.
Lightweight Hardwood
- Sinks fairly quickly (faster than spider wood, slower than manzanita).
- Great for:
- Building height
- Creating tangles / root structures
- Mimicking floodplain branches
Safe for Aquariums
- Fully aquarium-safe once rinsed.
- Mild tannin release (light amber tint), but usually less staining than Malaysian or Mopani.
- May produce white biofilm in the first few weeks (normal and harmless).
- Recommend:
- Rinse before use
- Pre-soak 24–48 hrs for faster sinking
- Use rocks or substrate to anchor for the first week if floating
