Hyphessobrycon sweglesi, also known as the Red Phantom Tetra, is a beautiful freshwater fish native to the Orinoco River drainage basin in South America. This species was previously classified under the genus Megalamphodus
Red Phantom Tetras grow up to 4 cm (1.6 inches) in length and are known for their striking appearance, featuring a round black spot behind the gill plate and red fins. They thrive in soft, acidic water and prefer environments with plenty of plants and hiding spots
These tetras are peaceful and do well in community tanks with other non-aggressive fish They enjoy a varied diet of prepared foods and small live foods
