The Red Laser Tetra, also known as the Hemigrammus Coeruleus, is a vibrant freshwater fish species that requires specific care conditions to thrive. 

1. Temperature: Red Laser Tetras prefer tropical temperatures ranging from 75°F to 82°F (24°C to 28°C). Maintaining a stable temperature within this range is crucial for their health and well-being.

2. Minimum Tank Size: For a small group of Red Laser Tetras, it is recommended to have a tank with a capacity of at least 20 gallons (75.7 liters). A larger tank is preferable if you plan to keep a larger school of these fish, as they are social creatures and feel more comfortable in groups

Tank Type and Details:

• Aquarium Setup: Provide a well-planted tank with plenty of hiding spots and open swimming spaces. Use fine-grained substrate and add driftwood or rocks to mimic their natural habitat. Ensure the tank has a tight-fitting lid, as these fish are skilled jumpers.

• Water Quality: Maintain clean and well-circulated water. Regular water changes (approximately 25% every two weeks) are necessary to keep the water parameters stable. The ideal water parameters for Red Laser Tetras are a pH of 5.5 to 7.5 and soft to slightly hard water (dH 5-12).

• Tank Mates: They are peaceful and can coexist with other small, non-aggressive fish species that share similar water requirements. Suitable tank mates include other tetra species, rasboras, dwarf cichlids, and peaceful bottom dwellers like Corydoras catfish. The Red Laser can get up to 6cm fully mature. 

• Diet: Offer a varied diet that includes high-quality flake food, small live or frozen foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia. Supplement their diet with vegetable matter and occasional treats like mosquito larvae or small insects.

• Behavior: Red Laser Tetras are schooling fish, so it's crucial to keep them in groups of at least 6 to 8 individuals. They thrive in a peaceful environment and can become stressed if kept alone or in small numbers. Providing suitable tank mates and maintaining a harmonious environment is key to their well-being.
