Rabbit snails, also known as elephant snails, are very fun and active snails with attractive spiraled shells. They are easy to care for, and not prone to eating plants (except for dying plant matter, and, for some reason, java ferns). Offer calcium-rich food or buffer the water with calcium to ensure their shell grows well. They can grow up to 3" long, but usually are closer to 2". They are calm and slow-moving, so ensure they're with peaceful tankmates.
They will breed in the aquarium, but they are not prolific, expect to see just one offspring every few months at most.
