Orange Medaka is a selectively bred color variety of the Japanese Ricefish (Oryzias latipes), prized for its bright orange coloration, hardiness, and ease of breeding. It is one of the most popular Medaka varieties in the aquarium hobby.

Breeding

Orange Medaka are among the easiest egg-laying fish to breed. Females carry fertilized eggs beneath the body for a short period before depositing them on plants, spawning mops, or other surfaces.
