Assorted Molly (Poecilia velifera) Large - Aquarium Glaser

Description

Poecilia velifera, is a popular and visually striking species in the aquarium hobby. 


Size: Males can grow up to 6 inches (15 cm), while females can reach up to 7 inches (17.5 cm).
Tank Requirements: They thrive in well-planted aquariums with moderate water flow. Ideal water conditions include a temperature range of 72°F to 82°F (22°C to 28°C) and a pH of 7.0 to 8.5.
Diet: Omnivorous, they will accept a variety of foods including high-quality flake foods, pellets, and live or frozen foods like brine shrimp and bloodworms. It’s also beneficial to include some vegetable matter in their diet, such as blanched spinach or cucumber.
Behavior: Peaceful and suitable for community tanks, they do well with other species that can tolerate hard water. Good tank mates include other livebearers like swordtails and platies, as well as some gouramis and hardy corydoras.
Breeding: Relatively easy to breed, they reproduce in the usual livebearer fashion. Females can give birth to up to 200 fry, although 20-60 is more common.

These fish are relatively easy to care for and make a stunning addition to any aquarium
