Galaxy Rasbora (Celestial Pearl Danio) CPD

Description

Temperature: 72-80
Minimum Tank Size: 10 Gallons

Galaxy Rasbora, also known as the Celestial Pearl Danio or CPD is one of the most popular aquarium fish among hobbyists. This beautiful fish is native to the streams and rivers of Southeast Asia, where it can be found in large schools in heavily vegetated waters. With its vibrant colors ranging from red and green to orange and even blue, the Galaxy Rasbora stands out among other fish with its unique beauty. It's important to keep a healthy diet for the Galaxy Rasboras. They are omnivorous and enjoy both meat-based and plant-based foods. A variety of foods such as insects, shrimp, worms, and algae will all provide essential nutrients for their growth and development. It's important to feed them several times a day with small amounts so that no food goes to waste. Galaxy Rasboras need plenty of hiding places and areas to explore, so they should be housed in an aquarium with plenty of live plants and decorations. Rocks and driftwood are also great additions. The aquarium should also be slightly acidic, with a pH level of 6.5–7.2, and between 72–82°F. When properly cared for, the Galaxy Rasbora can live up to five years in captivity. They thrive best in warm water and do not do well in temperatures below 70°F. Because they are a schooling fish, it's important to keep at least five Galaxy Rasboras in the same tank. The Galaxy Rasbora is a great choice for a pet fish, as they are relatively easy to care for and very hardy. They are peaceful and will not harm other fish in the tank, making them good additions to a community aquarium. Plus, their vibrant colors and interesting behavior make them incredibly enjoyable to watch. They are also social creatures, and keeping multiple fish together will help to reduce any stress or anxiety. For these reasons, the Galaxy Rasbora makes a wonderful pet fish that is sure to bring hours of enjoyment to any hobbyist.
