Fancy Guppy Pair - Full Gold Ribbon

Description

Fancy Guppy Pair - Full Gold Ribbon

Ribbon guppy is one of the representatives of high-end guppy species. The biggest difference between them and ordinary guppy is pelvic fin and anal fin. Ribbon guppies have special genes. They have long pelvic fins and anal fins, which make their posture more flexible and elegant when swimming. However, the breeding ability of male ribbon guppy fish is weak. When rearing artificially, female ribbon guppy fish and common male fish can be reproduced together.

What does guppy ribbon mean?

Ribbon guppy is a relatively high-end guppy species. Compared with ordinary guppy, their pelvic fins and anal fins have great characteristics. First of all, their genes are quite special, and the small fish they breed will have long pelvic fins and anal fins. This makes them more elegant when swimming.

Although ribbon guppies are highly ornamental, their male fish do not have strong reproductive ability, so the number of breeding is not comparable to regular stain guppy's.  The breeding ability of female ribbon guppies is relatively normal. In artificial breeding, if they want to breed, they can mate female ribbon guppies with ordinary male fish, and there is a great chance that they can breed ribbon guppies.

 How to raise ribbon guppies

1. Raise them separately: As mentioned above, the biggest feature of ribbon guppies is that their pelvic fins and anal fins are relatively long. When breeding, it is necessary to put them in a separate container to avoid other fish colliding with the fins and causing them to be injured. In addition, it is necessary to ensure that their living space is sufficient, so that their fins can grow better.

2. Environmental stability: Compared with ordinary guppies, ribbon guppies have higher requirements on the environment. When they are raised artificially, they need to keep their living water temperature and water quality stable.
