Congo Tetra (Phenacogrammus interruptus) is a stunning freshwater fish known for its vibrant colors and peaceful nature.

Size: They typically grow to about 2.5 to 3.5 inches
Color: Congo Tetras have a unique rainbow luminescence along their bodies, with long, semi-transparent fins that have a purplish hue and white edging

Lifespan: They generally live between 3 to 5 years
Diet: Omnivores, they eat a variety of foods including worms, crustacea, insects, plant matter, and algae
Water Conditions: They thrive in water temperatures between 73°F-82°F, with a pH of 6.0-7.5
Tank Size: A minimum of 30 gallons is recommended

Temperament: Peaceful and schooling fish, they should be kept in groups
Tank Mates: They get along well with other peaceful fish like rasboras, danios, and small catfish.

Difficulty: Breeding Congo Tetras can be challenging, but they do spawn readily in captivity
