Clown Killifish, also known as Epiplatys annulatus, is a small, colorful fish native to West Africa. They are also called rocket killifish or banded panchax due to their striking appearance, which includes alternating vertical bands of dark brown and yellowish-tan on their bodies and vibrant, flame-like tails in males
- Size: They grow up to 1.4 inches (3.5 cm) long
- Habitat: They thrive in slow-moving streams and swamps, preferring cooler water temperatures between 67-80°F (19-26°C)
- Tank Setup: Ideal for nano tanks of 5 gallons or more, with a gentle filter and plenty of floating plants
- Diet: They have tiny mouths and prefer small, floating foods like crushed flakes, freeze-dried daphnia, and live baby brine shrimp
- Behavior: Peaceful and social, they do well in groups and can be kept with other small, non-aggressive fish
