Cambarellus shufeldtii is a small freshwater crayfish species native to North America and is commonly known as the Cajun dwarf crayfish or brown dwarf crayfish.

Natural Habitat

Behavior

• Generally peaceful compared to larger crayfish
• Still opportunistic:
  • May grab slow or bottom-dwelling fish
  • May snack on shrimp or fry
• More active at night

• Omnivorous scavenger

Breeding
