This replacement sponge filter is for the Coarse Sponge Filters. These are a direct replacement and the same as the ones we sell with our sponge filters. Our sponge filters are not shipped vacuum packed as you’ll see with other alternatives. This retains the shape and strength of the cell walls in the sponge material. These replacement sponges fit most sponge filter bases on the market. If you’re looking to use these on an intake of a filter, we recommend the closed end pre-filter sponges.
