These rainbowfishes can live up to five years and grow about 2″ long. They’ll show you their beautiful colours not long after settling into their permanent home, and they have a wonderful fin shape. They’re happy in a wide temperature range (73-84) so they fit into plenty of different communities!
The biggest concern with threadfins is their tiny throats; if you bring some home, make sure they get enough very small food. Finally, remember your lid! Rainbowfish love to jump.
