  • We guarantee our livestock for 7 days from purchase/delivery if our care recommendations and tank requirements were followed.
  • Proof Required: We may require photos of the deceased animal, proof of purchase (receipt/order number), and/or a water sample from your tank for testing.

Livestock Refunds, Returns, & Surrenders

  • Local customers may return livestock within 72 hours of purchase for a refund, provided the animal is alive and in original condition. Returns must be brought to the store; we do not provide pickup services.

Congo Tetra (Phenacogrammus interruptus) is a stunning freshwater fish known for its vibrant colors and peaceful nature. 

Appearance

  • Size: They typically grow to about 2.5 to 3.5 inches
  • Color: Congo Tetras have a unique rainbow luminescence along their bodies, with long, semi-transparent fins that have a purplish hue and white edging

Care

  • Lifespan: They generally live between 3 to 5 years 
  • Diet: Omnivores, they eat a variety of foods including worms, crustacea, insects, plant matter, and algae
  • Water Conditions: They thrive in water temperatures between 73°F-82°F, with a pH of 6.0-7.5
  • Tank Size: A minimum of 30 gallons is recommended

Behavior

  • Temperament: Peaceful and schooling fish, they should be kept in groups
