Color and Other Details: Siamese Algae Eaters are generally silver with a dark horizontal stripe running along their bodies. They have a torpedo-shaped body and a distinctive black band that runs from their head to the tail. This band becomes more prominent as they mature.

It's important to note that there is sometimes confusion between Siamese Algae Eaters and a similar-looking species called "Chinese Algae Eaters" (Gyrinocheilus aymonieri).
