    • They feature rows of armour plating across their bodies, providing protection from other fish and rough surfaces. 
  2. Care Requirements:

    • Tank Size: A 10-gallon tank is suitable for a small group of Otos.
    • Water Conditions: Maintain stable water parameters (pH 6.5-7.5, temperature 72-78°F).
    • Diet: Otos primarily feed on algae, so ensure a well-established tank with natural algae growth. You can supplement their diet with blanched vegetables (like zucchini or cucumber).
    • Behavior & Temperament: Peaceful and social; they thrive in groups.
    • Lifespan with proper care they can live 3-5 years
