Fritz Betta Guard is a specialized water conditioner that provides the perfect parameters for a betta fish living in a small aquarium. Not only does it act like a normal dechlorinator that neutralizes deadly chlorine, chloramines, and heavy metals, but it also includes extra additives to promote healing and reduce fish stress.
The aloe vera and vitamin E act as a soothing ointment for fish that are recovering from injuries and poor water condition. The natural tannins, made from Indian almond leaf extract, provides mild antibacterial and antifungal benefits.
Note: Fritz Betta Guard is not a fish medication but rather an enhanced water conditioner that helps to promote healing and reduce fish stress.
Use 5 mL (1 tsp) per 5 U.S. gallons (19 L). For areas with very high chlorine levels, dosage can be safely increased or repeated up to 5 times.
— Size: 2 oz (59 ml) bottle that treats 60 gallons (227 L)
— Each dose increases tannins by 0.25 ppm.
— It is safe to increase the dosage up to five times, but observe the animals for distress and perform small water changes if needed.
