Purple Harlequin Rasbora (Trigonostigma heteromorpha) is a stunning and peaceful schooling fish, known for its distinctive purple hue and striking black triangular patch

  • Size: They typically grow to about 1.5-2 inches (4-5 cm) in length
  • Tank Requirements: A minimum tank size of 20 gallons is recommended. They thrive in well-planted tanks with areas of open swimming space and dim lighting to mimic their natural environment 
  • Water Conditions: They prefer temperatures between 72-78°F (22-25°C) and a pH range of 6.0-7.0
  • Diet: Purple Harlequin Rasboras are omnivorous and will eat a variety of foods, including high-quality flakes and pellets, as well as live or frozen foods like brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworms
  • Behavior: These fish are peaceful and ideal tank mates for other small, non-aggressive species. They should be kept in groups of at least 6-8 to ensure their well-being and natural schooling behavior
