Brevibora cheeya is a species of fish in the family Cyprinidae, found in Malaysia and Indonesia. It was first described in 2011 by Liao and Tan. This species is known for its relatively larger size compared to its close relative, Brevibora dorsiocellata

- Habitat: It inhabits slow-flowing, acidic waters in coastal heath forests with sandy and peaty substrates
- Size: It can grow up to 39 mm in standard length
- Etymology: The name "cheeya" comes from two Chinese deities, Cheeya and Beiya, who hunt ghosts for Yama
