Natural Habitat

- Slow-moving or still water
- Leaf litter–rich, tannin-stained environments
- Soft, acidic water under dense canopy
This species is non‑annual, meaning it does not rely on seasonal drying like some African killifish.
Adult Size
- 4.5–6 cm (1.75–2.5 inches)
Temperament
- Peaceful but territorial toward conspecific males
- Best kept:
- As pairs
- Or 1 male with 2–3 females
- Not suitable for boisterous community tanks
