Description

Tiger Endler Pairs refers to a specific color morph of Poecilia wingei, also known as Endler’s Livebearers. The Tiger Endler is a striking, selectively bred variety known for its vivid orange, black, and metallic patterning that resembles a “tiger” striping effect.

Species

  • Poecilia wingei (Endler’s Livebearer)
  • Peaceful, small, extremely hardy livebearer

Appearance

  • Males:
    • Bright orange and black “tiger” barring
    • Iridescent green/blue highlights depending on the line
    • Slim, torpedo-like body, high activity
  • Females:
    • Larger, silver/gold-gray
    • Typically show faint or no tiger patterning

Size

  • Males: ~1" (2.5 cm)
  • Females: ~1.5–2" (3.5–4.5 cm)

Ideal Water Parameters

  • Temperature: 22–28°C (72–82°F)
  • pH: 6.8–8.2
  • Hardness: Moderately hard to hard water
  • Perfect for Vancouver tap water

Temperament

  • Peaceful
  • Great in planted community tanks
  • Constant swimmers; do best in groups

  • Gestation: ~23–28 days
