Description
L140 Pleco, also known as the Big Band Tiger Pleco, is a beautiful and popular species of catfish among aquarium enthusiasts. This species is native to the Rio Xingu in Brazil and are known for their striking appearance, featuring stripes on a light brown or beige body.

- Common Names: LDA061, Treestriped Clown Pleco L140, LDA062, Trestribet Klovnsugemalle
- Size: Up to 100mm (3.9 inches) SL (standard length)
- Sexing: Males develop small teeth-like odontodes on the leading pectoral fin rays and the back half of their bodies. Females remain unadorned and have a wider girth across the body.
- Habitat: Found in the Lower Rio Tapajós, Brazil, particularly in breeding holes in soft mud/rock.
- Temperature Range: 23.0-27.0°C (73.4-80.6°F)
- Tankmates: L140 Plecos can coexist with a wide array of tankmates due to their unfussy nature. They are safe with small fish, shrimp, and can withstand the attention of most cichlids.
- Breeding: these can be bred in captivity with many reports of successful spawns
