Albino Pygmy Corydoras (Corydoras pygmaeus 'Albino') is a rare and charming nano catfish, ideal for peaceful community aquariums and aquascaped setups. 


Species Overview

  • Scientific Name: Corydoras pygmaeus (Albino variant)
  • Common Name: Albino Pygmy Corydoras
  • Size: 2–2.5 cm (0.75–1 inch) adult size 
  • Lifespan: 3–5 years 
  • Coloration: Soft pinkish-white body with red eyes, typical of albino traits 

Natural Habitat

  • Origin: Captive-bred variant; wild-type found in Madeira and Nanay River basins, South America
  • Environment: Slow-moving, heavily planted streams with fine sand, leaf litter, and aquatic vegetation
