Origins & Genetics
Alien bettas are hybrids, typically bred from wild species like:
- Betta splendens
- Betta smaragdina
- Betta stiktos
- Betta mahachaiensis
They do not exist in the wild and were created through selective breeding to enhance their metallic sheen and vibrant colors
