Aquarium Co-Op Easy Potassium

Description

  • Potassium supplement for enhanced plant growth
  • Easy-to-use dispenser for quick dosing
  • Safe for fish, shrimp, and snails

Potassium is a very important macronutrient for planted aquariums. If aquatic plants don't get enough of this nutrient, they can develop distinctive pinholes that are sometimes rimmed with brown or yellow. While Aquarium Co-Op Easy Green All-in-One Fertilizer already contains plenty of potassium for most planted tanks, Easy Potassium is a useful supplemental fertilizer for people who are running high light planted tanks with CO2 injection or have lots of potassium-hungry plants (like java fern and anubias).

While other brands require you to measure out certain milliliters or capfuls, we offer two sizes of Easy Potassium that come with easy-to-use dispensers for quick dosing. For most planted aquariums, get the 500 ml bottle with the pump head that treats 5,000 gallons total. For nano tanks smaller than 10 gallons, the 120 ml bottle with the dropper cap is perfect and treats 1,200 gallons total.

Directions/Specifications

Recommended Dosing Instructions:
1.  For the 500 ml (16.9 oz) bottle, dose 1 pump (1 ml) per 10 gallons of water, one to three times a week. Each pump adds 2 ppm potassium to 10 gallons of water.

2.  For the 120 ml (4 oz) bottle, dose 2 drops per gallon of water, one to three times a week. Each dose of 2 drops adds 2 ppm potassium to 1 gallon of water.

When in doubt, start low and increase the dosage after 2 weeks.

Guaranteed Analysis:

Soluble Potash (K2O) 9.12%
—  Derived from potassium sulfate and potassium citrate
—  NPK rating 0-0-9.12

Notes:

— Please store the fertilizer upright in a cool, dry location away from children. The pump head and dropper cap are not leak proof. For optimal shelf life, store out of light.
— Keep the tip of the pump clean of debris. Wiping the pump tip after each use helps prevent a mineral crust from developing. If the pump gets blocked up, it can cause the fertilizer to spray in a random direction, so run the pump head under warm water until the blockage melts away.

— Warning: Fertilizer can be irritating if it gets into your eyes, nose, or mouth, and it can cause stomach upset if swallowed. If you get Easy Potassium on your skin, rinse it off. If you get it in your eyes or mouth, rinse thoroughly for 15 minutes.  For Canadian customers, reference dpic.org
