Yellow Banana Hi-Fin Platy is a selectively bred variety of the Xiphophorus variatus species, also known as the Variatus Platy. This particular strain is prized for its vibrant, banana-yellow coloration and dramatically extended dorsal fin, giving it a striking appearance in aquariums.

- Color: Bright, solid yellow—hence the "banana" nickname
- Fin Type: Hi-Fin (or Highfin), meaning the dorsal fin is elongated and sail-like
