Red Devil Angelfish (Locally Bred)
Description
Description
- Origin: The Red Devil Angelfish is aquacultured in Asia.
- Diet: They feed on invertebrates, insects, frozen, and prepared feeds.
- Adult Size: Typically reaching about 6 inches in length.
- Recommended Tank Size: A spacious 50-gallon tank is ideal.
- Compatibility: While generally peaceful, they can be aggressive toward conspecifics (other Red Devil Angelfish) and may eat small fish.
-
Preferred Water Parameters:
- pH: 6.0 – 7.0
- Temperature: 78-84°F
- Ammonia: 0 ppm
These angelfish thrive in large, tall, planted aquariums with plenty of cover. Although they can exhibit moderate aggression toward each other (especially as adults), they generally do well when kept in a group of 5 or more. Most non-cichlid tankmates will be left alone, but they may hunt and consume very small fish or invertebrates.
