Dead on Arrival (DOA) Policy – Shipped Orders Only
- We guarantee live arrival on all shipped livestock when:
- The package is received on the first delivery attempt.
- Clear photos of the unopened shipping bag and deceased animal are emailed to us within 2 hours of delivery confirmation.
- If these conditions are met, we will provide a replacement or store credit. Shipping charges are non-refundable.
7-Day Livestock Guarantee (Local & Shipped Orders)
- We guarantee our livestock for 7 days from purchase/delivery if our care recommendations and tank requirements were followed.
- Proof Required: We may require photos of the deceased animal, proof of purchase (receipt/order number), and/or a water sample from your tank for testing.
Livestock Refunds, Returns, & Surrenders
- Local customers may return livestock within 72 hours of purchase for a refund, provided the animal is alive and in original condition. Returns must be brought to the store; we do not provide pickup services.

Description
Neolamprologus multifasciatus, commonly known as Multies, are fascinating shell-dwelling cichlids from Lake Tanganyika in East Africa.
Appearance
- Size: Males grow up to about 2 inches, while females are slightly smaller
- Color: They have a pale brown to gray body with dark brown vertical stripes and bright blue eyes
Care
- Lifespan: They can live up to 5 years with proper care
- Diet: Omnivores, they eat a variety of foods including high-quality flakes, pellets, and live or frozen foods
- Water Conditions: They thrive in water temperatures between 75°F-82°F, with a pH of 7.5-9.0
- Tank Size: A minimum of 20 gallons is recommended
Behavior
- Temperament: Peaceful and social, they form colonies and live in abandoned snail shells
- Tank Mates: They get along well with other peaceful fish, but it's best to avoid overly aggressive species

- Difficulty: Breeding Multies can be challenging, but they do spawn readily in captivity
