Identification
- Brilliant metallic neon‑green “laser” stripe running from the head to the caudal peduncle
- Olive‑gold body with reflective sheen
- Armored plates (no scales)
- Typical Corydoras barbels for substrate sifting
This fish is easily one of the flashiest Corydoras available, especially under subdued lighting.

- River systems: Río Ucayali & Río Marañón (Amazon headwaters)
- Slow‑moving, soft‑water river margins with sandy bottoms
