Redtail Hillstream Loach, also known as Gastromyzon borneensis, is a fascinating freshwater fish native to the fast-flowing streams and rivers of Borneo. Here are some key details about this unique species:

Appearance

Size: Typically grows up to 3-4 cm (1.2-1.6 inches).
Coloration: Known for its distinctive red tail and dorsal fin, which stand out against darker substrates.

Habitat:

Natural Environment: Prefers cool, oxygen-rich, and swift waters. They are often found clinging to rocks and boulders in their native streams.

Tank Requirements: To mimic their natural habitat, it's important to provide a well-oxygenated tank with a strong current and plenty of hiding spots like rocks and driftwood.

Temperament: Generally peaceful and can be kept in community tanks with other non-aggressive species.


Activity: They are bottom dwellers and spend a lot of time attached to surfaces, feeding on algae and biofilm.

Care - 
Diet: Omnivorous, they thrive on a diet of algae, biofilm, and small invertebrates. Supplementing with high-quality sinking pellets and blanched vegetables can also be beneficial.

Water Parameters: Optimal temperature ranges from 18°C to 25°C (65°F to 77°F), with a pH of 6.5 to 8.0
