Guianacara dacrya is a species of cichlid fish found in the clear water streams and seasonally flooded lagoons of the Rupununi savannas in South America. This species is known for its distinctive infraorbital stripe, which gives it a tear-streaked appearance.

- Habitat: They prefer sandy substrates with nearby large rocks and are often found in areas with moderate current
- Water Parameters: They thrive in temperatures ranging from 24.8-28.5°C with relatively high dissolved oxygen levels.
