Diet: Unlike many other hillstream loaches, Homaloptera smithi is more carnivorous, preferring bloodworms and brine shrimp over prepared foods2.
Behavior: This species is known for its stealthy hunting behavior, often stalking its prey before striking with surprising speed2. It is generally peaceful and can coexist with other hillstream species, but care should be taken to ensure it gets enough food2.
