Super Orange Aequidens (Aequidens superomaculatum)

Super Orange Aequidens (Aequidens superomaculatum) is a medium-sized and vibrantly colored cichlid.

Origin: Wild Colombia/Venezuela
Locale: Rio Casiquiare
Diet: Omnivorous and predatory, feeding on insects, crustaceans, and smaller fish in its natural habitat. It readily accepts most frozen and sinking prepared foods.
Adult Size: Approximately 5 inches
Recommended Tank Size: 30 gallons or more
Compatibility: While relatively peaceful for a cichlid, it may spar with other similar tankmates.
Preferred Water Parameters:
- pH: 6.2 – 7.2
- Temperature: 78-84°F
- Ammonia: 0 ppm
- Nitrite: 0 ppm
- Nitrate: <30 ppm
